Hi, i would really like a comparison between the macbook pro(MB985), the new with 2,66GHz and 15'' and the new imac (MB418LL/A) 24'' 2.66GHz.

The Answer ...
Rafael, We have not yet tested the new MacBook Pro 2.66GHz, but can provide you with a partial comparison to the previous 15 Inch MacBook Pro 2.66 (MC026LL/A)
For the following tests the iMac 24 Inch Intel Core 2 Duo 2.66GHz, is compared to the MacBook Pro Intel Core 2 Duo 2.66GHz
iMac 24 Inch Intel Core 2 Duo 2.66GHz ... MC026LL/A
MacBook Pro 15 Inch Intel Core 2 Duo 2.66GHz ... MB418LL/A
As you can see from the Processor and Photoshop scores the basic muscle strength of each machine is, (not surprisingly), very close. Hard drives in laptops are usually significantly slower than their contemporary desktop siblings, and we see that difference here. However it appears that in Game performance (Quake 3), the MBP has the better graphics card, and bests the iMac in this test. But this performance difference could also be because the graphics card of the iMac needs to drive a much larger screen, which may bog things down. The iMovie score shows the iMac in the lead. This test stresses both the Processor and Hard Drive, and so with better hard drive performance, the iMac comes out on top.
A comparison of the main performance affecting features of the two 2.66GHz laptops. As you can see they are basically the same machines except that the more recent one has less graphics memory .... which probably affects game performance somewhat.
