15 Inch MacBook Pros
1) Proceessor moves from PPC G4 to Intel Core Duo (Dual Core - Two processors in one)
2) Screen size gains two tenths of an inch (now 15.4)
3) L2 Processor cache moves from 512K to 2MB
4) Higher end model now available for $500 more
5) Memory moves from PC2-4200 DDR2 SDRAM to PC2-5300 (667MHz) DDR2
6) Graphics card moves from ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 to ATI Mobility Radeon X1600
7) Higher-end model has twice the graphics memory 256MB
8) Graphics card connection moves from 4x AGP to PCI Express bus
9) Expansion card slot moves from PC Card/CardBus to ExpressCard/34 slot
10) Hard drive goes from Ultra ATA/100 to Serial ATA/100
11) Higher-end model has 20GB larger hard drive (100GB)
12) Optical drive goes from DVD+R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW to DVD±RW/CD-RW
13) The new MacBook Pro only has FireWire 400 not FireWire 800 (The last version had a FireWire 800 port)
14) S-video port dropped on the MacBooks
15) Battery capacity goes from 50 -watt-hour lithium-ion battery to 60-watt-hour lithium-polymer battery
16) Power adapter now connects to the laptop by way of a magnetic connection
