I am thinking about a mac mini Intel, but was curious to relative speed comparision with my current workstation.
I have a 2004.6 Dual G5 1.8 (the 4 memory bank, pci slot only model) It has a 128 9600 video card (ATI) and 2 gigs of memory.
Is the new intel duo core pretty close in speed? I am thinking of using it as a server. Thanks for your help!
I mean .. the intel macs are getting lots of press.. what I am curious about is the "stay power" of the "vintage - mainstream G5" vs. dual core intel. Is 1.6 ghz duo intel comparable to 1.8 dual g5s???
