PowerPC vs Intel - Processor Performance Comparisons -Mathematica

Below you will find various processor comparisons for PowerPC and Intel based chips. Testing was done using Mathematica 3.0. Mathematica is a computer algebra system. It also does symbolic math, numerical math, graphing in 2 and 3 dimensions, and animation in 2 and 3 dimensions.

Fifteen test calculations were performed. Scores represent the performance improvement over the Vectra XU6/200 which receives a score of 100%. Longer bars indicate better performance.
